As most of you know, I am in the process of Self-publishing my first book: Sapphire Eyes.

As I started walking on this journey I met a lot of wonderful people, and found amazing sites filled with knowledge.

I decided to e-publish on which is where I do a lot of my online shopping (ie: most).

This led me to which is perfect for publishing books! They have tons of free tools and information readily available at the tips of your fingers.

Basically, it took me by the hand and led me step by step through the process. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about this site thus far!

They also gave me the ability to provide my book to the world in physical form! They print the book as it is ordered so that the author doesn’t have to fork over costs up front. Incredible to learn!

I am almost ready to share my story and my imagination with the world!

I’m very nervous, but I’m also very excited.

When I decided to write this series, my only goal was to write something that made me happy. Then I began sharing my work with my son, and that is the moment I realized, I wanted to write something to make him proud.

My son is on me every day, “What have you wrote today?”, “Can we read the next part?”

I love it. It has become a favorite pastime for us. We will go to Barnes and Noble, sit at one of the tables after school, and read my stories as I write them. Sometimes, we use bed time as our escape into my world. We enjoy it. Plus, he gets to use his imagination and envision his own twists on my world.

I wanted to send a special thank you to all of my preview readers, who took the time to evaluate and give feedback on my novel. I appreciate your time and dedication.

Too the people who have read portions of my book and have been waiting for what seems like forever for me to publish the complete novel… thank you for your patience and understanding along with your questions, drawings, and beautiful crafts! I love them!

I also wanted to say thank you to my family and friends who have taken unknown amounts of time from their lives to discuss my book and everything that goes along with it!

Thank you all for supporting me on my journey, and continuously encouraging me to stay strong and keep writing.
